CHaSS, OCID revisit metrics for flexible teaching and learning

Per Memorandum No. 8 & 15, s.2021 from the Office of the CHaSS Dean, faculty members of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences participated in the Syllabi Training-Workshop. The first leg which focused on the orientation and workshop on the preparation of Outcomes-Based Education syllabus for flexible teaching and learning was held on March 11-12, 2021.


Faculty members from the four existing departments of the College (Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, and Communication and Humanities) prepared syllabi in the flexible teaching and learning context for re-evaluation by Dr. Miraluna L. Herrera, Director for the Office of Curriculum and Instructional Development.

The second leg of the Syllabi-Training Workshop was conducted on April 13 and 19, 2021 via Zoom Meeting which focused on the preparation and evaluation of table of specifications, test questionnaires, rubrics, and teaching and learning activities (TLAs).


Dr. Herrera, OCID Director, emphasized the value of monitoring the metrics used by the College as to instruction in the flexible teaching and learning. ‘We need to regularly revisit our instruments and monitor their effectiveness in the flexible teaching and learning,’ she added.
