The College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHaSS) is a newly established college in the Caraga State University by virtue of BOR Res. No. 50-07, series of 2019. It was formally launched in June 2020 with four (4) existing departments: Communication and Humanities, Psychology, Social Work, and Sociology. The college, apart from the College of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, was formerly known as the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS).

CHaSS seeks to create life-long learners who think critically, feel deeply, communicate effectively and act responsibly in multicultural and diverse society.
